Program Settings


If you want to prescribe your own setting to the program, you can change the settings by clicking File:Moyea SWF to iPad-1.jpg button and then select "Option...", and you will face a window below with options like Basic, Thumbnail and Capture.

Step 1: Basic
Click "Basic", you will come to the window below and set anything you like.

Same file exist: Choose "Overwrite", "Rename" or "Skip" for your preference, when the output file name is the same as that of the file exists in the output folder.

Overwrite: The output file will overwrite the existing file.

Rename: The program may automatically generate a valid name in the rules of taking the original name as prefix, and adding numbers orderly.

Skip: The conversion of the file with identical name in the output folder will be cancelled.

Finish Batch Conversion: Select one of the following options for the program when the conversion task in batch mode is finished.

None: Click to do no action when the conversion is finished.

Close Soft: Click to exit the program when the conversion is finished.

Close Computer: Click to close the computer when the conversion is finished. If this option is chosen, there will be a waiting-to-close window after the conversion is finished. The window will show a 30-second countdown. If you do not want to close the computer, you can directly close the window to cancel the command.
When the program is loading, open: Set the default mode when you click the shortcuts or desktop icon to launch the program.
Step 2: Thumbnail

You can set the format of the thumbnail and choose the disc you want to save the thumbnail.

Image Format: Choose JPEG, BMP or THM as the format of the thumbnail.

Save Image To: Choose a place to save the thumbnail.

Step 3: Capture

You can choose the folder to save the captured file and the method of capturing.

Working Folder: Click the Browse button to specify a folder on your hard disc as the working folder. The working folder is used to save the temporary files generated during the conversion process and these files may occupy very big disc space. Therefore, we recommend that you specify the working folder on a hard disc with enough free space. Click "Default" button to return to the original settings when the program is first launched.

The method of capturing

Don’t resize frame while capturing: Check this option and the program will not resize the frames while capturing them during the conversion process. If there is any bitmap in your Flash file, we recommend that you check this option to avoid the distortion of the final video file. Otherwise, you can just leave this option unchecked.

Keep aspect while capturing: Check this option to keep the original aspect ratio of the file during the conversion process.
Step 4: Advanced

Check this option to capture an extra segment at the end of auto capturing to get better result from the flash files that has longer audio than video.



Input File


There are three ways to input SWF files: From Folder, From IE cache, From URL. You could also choose "Grab SWF" to launch the Moyea Flash Download and get SWF URLs on web page for conversion or download, or choose to input Flash Projector. While selecting file from the browse window, folder or URL and IE cache from the drop-down list, you can preview the flash from the import dialog box.

From Folder
When you select "From Folder" in the drop-down list, the below window will pop up, and you can select a folder and the SWF files will show up on the file list. Select the file on the file list to preview the file and decide which one to be converted. Click "Refresh" button to refresh the file list, if there is file change in the folder. Click the "OK" button to import the selected file.

Locate: This button is to help you locate SWF files in a particular folder on your computer. You can copy and paste a file path of SWF files into the blank box and click on the Locate button to let the program locate the target SWF file. This is a swift way to import SWF files into the program.

Grab SWF
The Moyea Flash Download will launch with below window pop-up when you click on the “Grab SWF” item. Input the web page URL and go to get the SWF URL conveniently for conversion or download.

From IE cache
When you select "From IE cache" in the drop-down list, the below window will pop up. Select a file on the file list to preview the file and decide which one to be converted. Click the "Refresh" button to refresh the files in the folder, in case that some files are removed to or off the folder when you are importing files. Click the "OK" button to import the selected file.

From URL
When you select "From URL" in the drop-down list, the below window will pop up. Input the URL of the SWF file that you want to convert. Click the "OK" button to import the file.

Note: The SWF file from the URL would be greatly influenced by internet speed. So if it cannot be watched smoothly online, it is strongly recommended to convert after a fully played.

After the Flash file is added, you can find its properties in the "Flash Properties" panel. The properties include Flash version, width and height, frame rate and total frames (the amount of the frames the added Flash file has).

Background Color: Click the box to select a background color for your video.

By default, the background color is the background color of the source file, and "Original" is shown in the box on the background frame.

There are three buttons above the progress bar: Crop, Capture and Open.

The Crop function is only available in Moyea SWF to Video Converter Pro Version.

Start to convert


After you have made all the settings, you can click File:Moyea SWF to iPad-19.jpg: to adjust conversion settings and start converting. When you click the "Covert" button, you will see a window where you can adjust the conversion settings and control the conversion.

Convert SWF to iPad


Step 1: Performance Testing

After clicking the "Convert" button in single mode, and if you did not check "No performance testing", the program will automatic test the file performance to auto work-out the capture speed for conversion. To get accurate results, please react at the interactive SWF frame when the Flash file asks you to react.

Step 2: Capture settings

If you would like to retest the performance, you can click File:Moyea SWF to iPad-22.jpgand choose performance testing, then you can process some capture settings. After settings and clicking "Next", the program will restart performance testing just like step 1.

Working Folder: Click the Browse button to specify a folder on your hard disc as the working folder. The working folder is used to save the temporary files generated during the conversion process and these files may occupy very big disc space. Therefore, we recommend that you specify the working folder on a hard disc with enough free space. Click the "Default" button to get the default working folder set by the program.
Hide Advanced Settings: Click to hide the advanced settings. Then the button will change to "Show Advanced Settings".

Don’t resize frame while capturing: Check this option and the program will not resize the frames while capturing them during the conversion process. If there is any bitmap in your Flash file, we recommend that you check this option to avoid the distortion of the final video file. Otherwise, you can just leave this option unchecked.

Keep aspect while capturing: Check this option to keep the original aspect ratio of the file during the conversion process.
Step 3: Set Capture-speed

After performance testing, the program would have counted a capture speed for you. Of course, you can set another speed for capture, but it is recommended that the counted capture speed may be let you get a perfect quality for the output.

Capture speed: You can set the Capture speed by setting the denominator in the number box. For example, if you set the number to 2, the capture speed will be 1/2 of the original playback speed. Lowering the capture speed can improve the conversion quality. We have provided you with a default number, if the output quality is not satisfactory, you can try again with a lower speed with larger denominator. Click the "Next" button to start conversion.

Mute while converting: Check this option and the sound will not be played during the conversion. This option usually stays grey except when the capture speed is set to be 1/1.

Step 4: Start Capture

Finish the capture speed settings by clicking "Ok" button on capture window, the program will lead you to the capture window.

Performance testing: If you have valued "No performance testing" in the "Export" interface and if you want to test the performance again, you can click this button and choose "Performance testing" to test the performance.

Stopped frame: you can click it to set the stopped frame to capture the flash to convert, but please note that the contents of the specified stop frame can not be captured to convert.

If you did not start capture at all, click this button will exit the conversion, and there would be prompt; if you have started capture and clicked this button, the program will only can convert the captured contents to convert, the other contents would not be able to handled. Besides, the output file may not be able to play if the captured contents are too short. Another prompt would be also occurred.



Note 1: With this software in this interface, you can drag the process bar to play and continually capture any frames of Flash (SWF file) file.

Note 2: Lowering the capture speed can improve the conversion quality. We have provided you with a default choice. It is recommended that to use the auto-counted capture speed. If the output quality is not desirable with, you can try again with a lower speed.


Import Files


Moyea SWF to iPad Converter provides an easy way to import files in the batch mode by choosing any choices from "From folder", "From IE", "From URL" and "Flash projector". Please follow the steps below to input files to convert:

Check All: Click to check all the files in the folder.

Uncheck All: Click to uncheck all the files.

Invert: Click to reverse the checked file to be unchecked and the unchecked file before clicking to be checked.

Refresh: Click to refresh the files in the folder, in case that some files are removed to or off the folder when you are importing files. The missing file will not be added to the file list after you click the "OK" button if you do not refresh the folder.

Locate: This button is to help you locate SWF files in a particular folder on your computer. You can copy and paste a file path of SWF files into the blank box and click on the Locate button to let the program locate the target SWF file. This is a swift way to import SWF files into the program.

When you select "From IE cache" in the drop-down list, a window will pop up. Select a file on the file list to preview the file and decide if you want to convert it. Check the files you want to convert and then click the "OK" button.

As some Flash files contain only a few frames in total, there may be contents which demand user to interact or which are controlled by AScript. Batch mode could not perfectly convert this kind of files under automatic conversion mode. Please select one red marked Flash file on the file list and then click on the "Single Mode" button to shift to single mode, and then choose Manual Conversion Mode to solve the problem. Then you can click "Sure" and check all the red marked files to go on your conversion if you do not want to use single mode to convert this files.

After the files are imported, you can view the files on the file list. The first file on the file list will be played automatically and its properties will be shown on the top of the preview panel. The properties include Flash version, width and height, frame rate and total frames (the amount of the frames the added Flash file has).

Status: Show the status of the file. There are four kinds of status.

Successful: It shows that the conversion of the file is finished.

Cancelled: It shows when the conversion of the file is stopped, when the program is capturing the file.

Skipped: It shows the conversion of the file is skipped, as the same file exits in the output folder and you have set in the program settings to skip the conversion when the same file exists.

Failed: It shows that the conversion for the file is failed.



Capture & Open: Capture any frames of your video file.
The Crop function is only available in Moyea SWF to Video Converter Pro Version.

Batch Settings


This chapter describes the use and distinctive functions of Moyea SWF to iPad Converter.

Automatic Conversion


In the batch mode, all the conversions are automatically processed. The following steps below are the explanations to you.
Click the "Convert" button, and the program will start to test capturing frames and then the conversion will be automatically started. With this conversion way, you cannot set the begin time, but you can determine the end time by clicking "Finish" button. The program will capture the end if you do not specify the end time.

If you want to cancel the conversion task or skip the current conversion, click the "Close" button on the top-right corner when capturing.

Click the "Skip" button if you want to skip the current conversion.

After the current conversion is finished, the second conversion will be continuing from the capture test to the end. When the conversion task is completed, the batch mode will return to the first interface depending on the program settings you set.
