Registry Cleaner


To begin a scan:

  • Click the Scan & Clean button in the Main interface.
  • Click the Registry Cleaner button.
  • Select the registry items to scan.
  • Click the Scan Now button.

Note: Those above are only parts of the registry items, if you want to check them, just try the new version.

Step 2: Scan and Display

The progress of the current scan is displayed in the second step. When finished, the results of the scan are displayed. During the scan you have the option of stopping and returning to the first step.

To stop the scan and return to the previous step:

Click the Cancel button.
As the current scan progresses, it is displayed in the lower portion of the window. When the scan is finished, the total errors found are displayed including a list of all identified issues. Click the Fix &Continue button to go on.
The first two steps of the scan process include:

  • Step 1: Select registry items and start the scan.
  • Step 2: Scan and display.

After completing these two steps you can move on to the last step: selection and removal of errors.

Warning:Registry items listed here can be invalid when associated with non-existing folders or files. However, some entries may be valid. It is suggested that you only remove items that you think are invalid.

Step 3: Select and Remove Errors

In step 3 the errors are displayed. By default, all the identified errors are selected for removal. You can view the errors and the location of each, you can modify which of these items are selected, and you can send items to the Ignore list or remove them.

To view all the errors of the category:

Select Errors

To clear a registry item so that it is not removed:
Clear the check boxes next to the item.

Note: You can ignore items and send them to your Ignore list by clicking Ignore link.
You can clear all items in any registry item category. You can also check all errors in the category as well.

To clear and to check all items in one category:

Remove Errors

When you are certain that only the items checked are those to be cleaned from the registry, you can remove them.

To remove all selected registry items:
Click the Fix &Continue button.
After you are finished you can view your results by clicking the Results button on the Main interface.



Evidence Cleaner


There are three basic steps to the scan process. They include:

  • Step 1: Select Registry items and start the scan.
  • Step 2: Scan and display.
  • Step 3: Select and Delete.

Warning: Deleting or shredding some files or pc traces can cause some irreversible damage. You need to proceed cautiously and be certain of what you are doing. It is recommended that you only remove items that you think are unwanted unused.

Step 1: Select Items and Start the Scan
To start with, you will select the items that needed to scan.

To begin a scan:

  • Click the Scan & Clean button in the Main interface.
  • Click the Evidence Cleaner button in the main interface.
  • Select the items to scan.
  • Click the Scan Now button.

Note: You can also configure the items that you want Registry Victor to ignore during a scan.


Step 2: Stop and Display

The progress of the current scan is displayed in the second step. When finished, the results of the scan are displayed. During the scan you have the option of stopping and returning to the first step.

Click the Stop Scan button.

Note: As the current scan is progressing, the Scan button is changed to be the Stop button. If you want to stop the scan progress, just click the Stop button.


Step 3: Select and Delete

In step 3, the scanned items are displayed. By default, all the identified items are selected for removal. You can view the location of each item and you can also modify which of these items are selected.

You can only select one scanned item you want to remove by clicking Delete button.
Delete all scanned items
When you are certain that only the items checked are those to be cleaned from the list, you can remove them.
Click the Delete All button.

Junks Cleaner


This function is finished manually at your own will. After your computer being used for a period of time, there will be many junks in your computer. They will cause your computer slow down, deadlock, error message etc. This tool is beneficial for you to scan and clean up the junks and free up more PC’s disk space.

Scan and Clean Up the Junks
If you are certain to scan and delete the junks, please follow these hints:
Click Scan & Clean button, and then click the Junks Cleaner button first choose the directory:
1. If choose Scan all Disk in the left, then you should choose the Junks Files Categories in the right, select Default/All/None.
2. If choose Choose Directory button, then you should click the Brower button and choose what kind of items you want to scan, after that select Default/All/None.

Next, you will go to the Results Interface. When it is scanning, you can click Stop to stop scanning, and select Delete All/Delete to delete the junks.



Files Shredder


This function is finished manually at your own will. If there are some important files or some crucial information which are necessarily deleted and could not be pried by a third party, this tool is beneficial for you a lot.
If you want to shred a file, you can choose Add Files button, while shred a directory, can choose Add Directories. Of course, if you are not sure whether shred the selected files or not, you can also give up your choice with the functions of Cancel Files and Cancel All.
There are also three different levels you can choose to shred the files in different degree. You can use the three levels as your need. How to open
In main interface of Registry Victor, click the Scan & Clean button, and then click the Files Shredder button.
Note: you can use this function in a better and more convenient way. Right-click the file you want to shred and you will see the item of “RegistryVictor shred files”, just click it, you can shred this file easily.
Add Files or Add Directories
If you are certain some files and directories could be shredded, you can shred them one by one.
How to do
1. Click Add File or Add Directories, there will come up a popup in which you can choose the one you want to shred and click Open.
2. Choose a shred level for your unwanted files and directories at the bottom of the software such as Quick, Safe or Thorough.
3. Click the button of Shred.
Cancel Files and Cancel All
If you are not so sure whether you want to some files and directories or not, just clear up what you have selected.
“Cancel Files” is used to clear up one of your unwanted shredding files.
“Cancel All” is used to clear up all of your unwanted shredding files.
How to do
Please select them first then click Cancel Files or Cancel All buttons as your need. Thus you give up shredding the selected items beforehand.



Auto Backup


Every time you use Registry Victor to remove registry items, an auto-backup file is created. Registry Victor saves these backups so that you can restore the items that were removed from the registry after you find there is a problem with your system.

As to how to find the auto-backup file, please follow these hints:
1. Find the install directory
(the default directory: "C:\Program Files\Registry Victor\”)
2. Enter the “Auto Backup” directory
3. Find the latest Zip file
To restore one or more backup files:

1. Click the Auto Backup button in the Backup & Restore.
2. Select one backup file.
3. Click the Restore button.
Remove Backup Items
You can also remove items from the Backup list.
Recommendation: We recommend that you use caution when removing backup files. Use this feature only when you do not need to restore the removed items.
To delete a backup file:

1. Click the Auto Backup button in the Backup & Restore.
2. Select one backup file.
3. Click the Remove button.



Full Backup


The Full Backup Utility will allow you to make full registry backups whenever you wish to preserve a working copy of your Windows registry. You can also use the utility to restore a previous registry backup that you have made utilizing this utility.
Every time you use Registry Victor to remove registry items, we suggest you choose Full Backup. Registry Victor saves these backups so that you can restore the items that were removed from the registry.

Recommendation: We recommend that you use caution when restoring the registry as it can affect the functionality of your software. Use this feature only when you need to restore to previous working state. Select the items you want to restore from the list.



Favorites


Favorites can help you store some important information. The information will be directly viewed and easily found when you log in the next time. The information you have stored to your "Favorites" can be directly viewed next time, without searching or looking for the same information again. But sometimes, for some reasons, you can not find your favorites again or they have been deleted which have stored some important sites or information. With Registry Victor, you can use the “restore” function to get them back and you can also use the backup to give your favorites a backup in case of losing them.

First click Backup& Restore button.

BHO Manager


Introduction
The BHO manager can be used to manage all IE objects installed on your PC system by blocking malicious infection. This utility provides a simple, slick user interface that enables you to easily view registered controls (objects) and manage misbehaving controls (objects).
How to Open
Double-click the shortcut of Registry Victor, click IE Tools, and then click BHO Manager.
To Remove the BHOs
1. Click the IE Tools button at the main window, and then click the BHO Managerbutton.
2. Select an object or multiple objects or all the objects in the listed body frame.
3. Click the Remove button.
4. Click the Cancel button to abandon removing the selected items.
To Restore the BHOs
1. Click the IE Tools button at the main window, and then click the BHO Managerbutton.
2. Select an object or multiple objects or all the objects in the listed body frame.
3. Click the Restore button.
4. Click the Cancel button to abandon restoring the selected items.



IE Recover


The IE Recover can be used to restore some kinds of IE settings to the previous configuration which have been changed by malicious websites or Trojan.
How to Open
Double-click the shortcut of Registry Victor, click IE Tools,and then click IE Recover.
To Restore
1. Click the IE Tools button at the main window, and then click the IE Recover button.
2. Select an object or multiple objects or all the objects in the listed body frame.
3. Click the Restore button.
4. Click the Cancel button to abandon restoring the selected items.



Internet Options


Introduction
Internet Explorer’s options allow you to personalize the browser by changing selected settings and personalize the home page, delete history and so on.
How to Open
Double-click the shortcut of Registry Victor, click IE Tools, and then click Internet Options.
Usage of Internet Options
1. General tab
The General tab allows you to:
- Configure the home page.
- Manage the navigation history.
- Change the search parameters.
- Personalize the presentation of the tabs and the browser’s appearance.
2. Security tab
This tab allows you to display and change Internet Explorer 7’s browser security fields.
3. Privacy tab
This tab allows you to manage cookies and the display of pop-ups from the Web sites you visited.
4. Content tab
This tab provides access to:
- Parental control.
- Access control.
- The certificates.
- The automatic entry and feed configuration settings.
5. Connections tab
This tab allows you to configure your Internet connections.
6. Programs tab
This tab allows you to:
- Define the default Web browser.
- Manage add-on modules.
- Choose the html file editor.
- Select Internet-related programs, such as an e-mail client.
7. Advanced tab

This tab allows you to manage Internet Explorer’s advanced settings, such as the Phishing filter status.
