How to install IMobileTool SMS Backup?
- Step 1. Download IMobileTool SMS Backup from HERE
- Step 2. Check the system version of your mobile phone. Select "Start" -> "Settings" -> "System" -> "About".
- Step 3. Copy the installation file "iMobileToolSMSBackupSetup.CAB" with the right version as you have checked to your mobile device. You may need to connect your device to a host computer using ActiveSync. You can also transfer the file using a memory card.
- Step 4. On your device, navigate to the location of the CAB file using File Explorer. Click on the CAB file (displayed as the following screenshot) and click "Install" to begin installation.
- Step 5. Now installation completes. Select "OK" to continue.
- Done.
How to backup SMS messages?
- Step 1. Click "start" and then select programs. You will see the follow screen
- Step 2. Run "SMSBackup". You will see the following screenshot
- Step 3. Select "Menu" -> "Backup SMS" option on the left bottom, and then you will see the following screenshot:
You can backup all kinds of SMS messages, including messages in Draft, Inbox, Outbox, Sent Items and Deleted Items.
- Step 4. Select backup file type(sms, usms,txt or csv). Now you will want to input a backup file name, select folder and select a save location.
- Step 5. Then click ‘Save’ to start backup
Step 6. After backup completes, you can see the backup file on your phone and transfer it to your computer easily by ActiveSync.
- Done.
How to restore SMS messages ?
- Step 1. Run "IMobileTool SMS Backup" and click "Restore" option on the right bottom.
- Step 2. Select a sms backup file to restore.
- Step 3. Click the file to start restore.
- Done.
How to manage SMS messages on computer?
- Step 1. Transfer the sms backup file from your mobile phone to your computer easily by ActiveSync. Then run the "SMSManager.exe". Click "file" -> "Imprort":
- Step 2. Select the sms backup file on your computer and click "open". Now you can view your sms:
- Step 3. You can right click on a contact,then click "Delete sms of this contact" to delete all the sms messages related to this contact:
- Step 4. You can Export the sms to a new sms file and resote to your mobile phone.
How to edit Inbox SMS content on windows mobile phone
Here is the step by step guide on how to use IMobileTool SMS Backup to edit SMS messages on your windows mobile phone. All the sms messages can be edited, including messages from Inbox, Outbox, Drafts, Deleted Items and Sent Items.
- Step 1.Use IMobileTool SMS Backup to backup your SMS messages from your mobile phone into a .sms file onto your computer. Then import the file into the SMSManager. Please refer to How to backup SMS messages from windows mobile phone to computer.
- Step 2. Choose the SMS Messages you want to edit, and then select the "Edit Mode" to view.
- Step 3. "Double click" the SMS message to edit.
- Step 4. Now you can edit the sms message content as you wish (see the following screenshot). After that, click "Save" button to save the changes.
- Step 5. You can click "View Mode" to view your edited SMS Messages.
- Step 6. Now you can select the edited SMS Messages and Export them to a .sms file.
